Thomas Mahler, head of Moon Studios, has revealed that they have no plans to return to the Ouji series in the near future, and will instead be focusing on the development of their new ARPG, Malice Never Dies.
According to Mahler, the rights to the Ouji series are owned by Microsoft, and he is not aware of any other teams working on a third installment. However, he is skeptical that any team other than Moon Studios will be able to create a perfect sequel.
Previously, the studio has hinted that they have some ideas for a new installment, but won’t return to the O’Day series until they finish Malice Unto Rest.
