Switch2 is here!

Foreign media wccftech posted that for porting and multi-platform games, the CPU of Nintendo Switch2 is not a big problem, and additional optimization work can make these games run normally.

Famiiboards forum user MattAgain, a veteran game developer, revealed that the Switch2’s system setup doesn’t worry developers. No one is going to complain about developing games from scratch for the Switch2, the only minor complaints come from developers porting games that require more CPU optimization work.

As it stands, the CPU isn’t a hindrance. Overall, porting PS5 games to the Switch2 is much easier than porting from the PS4, which is good news.

Currently, developers have been very fond of the Switch platform, because the Switch platform has a huge user base and installed base, many games, especially indie games and small games, ported to the Switch platform after the sales are very good, and even a single Switch platform sales can be more than other platforms for many years of sales.

Therefore, if conditions allow, most developers will choose to port their games to the switch platform. However, porting to the switch platform is not a simple thing, especially some large 3A games, only a few porting professionals can do.

If it becomes easier to port games to the switch2 platform, then it is believed that more games will be ported to the switch2 platform, and the switch2 will also be taken as the premiere platform.
