On March 10, Remedy Entertainment released the latest update for the PC version of its telekinetic action-adventure game Control Ultimate Collection. The update primarily expands support for next-generation graphics technologies, but also gains attention for unlocking missions that players were previously unable to play.
Control is a third-person action-adventure game in which players fight using supernatural powers.Remedy Entertainment released the game on August 27, 2019, followed by two paid DLC packs The Foundation and AWE. The company also released the Control Ultimate Collection for consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X S and updated it for the PC version. As of November of last year, the game had sold 4.5 million copies, making it a very popular game.
One of the complaints users had about the game Control Ultimate Collection was that they were unable to play the mission Dr. Yoshimitsu Tokai Imagery Guided Experience , which was originally offered as an add-on to the PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition or the game’s Season Pass. Hideo Kojima provides the voice of Yoshimitsu Tokai, a scientist living in Tokyo. Yoshimitsu Tokui Portrayed as a character who gained worldwide fame for creating a series of audio tapes called the Imagery Guidance Experience, the mission progresses as you listen to his audio.
However, this quest was previously unavailable on the Control Ultimate compilation. Despite being positioned as the full version, users were upset that it didn’t include all the past content. The control team also chose this moment to update the Control Ultimate Collection with a mission featuring Hideo Kojima, which seems to be a surprise for gamers.
It is reported that Control’s screenwriter Sam Lake will also make a cameo appearance in Death Stranding 2, and I wonder if there will be any Hideo Kojima-related tie-ins in Control 2, which is currently under development.
